The team at Moodle.com recently announced the release of version 4.2 which introduces several improvements, building over those introduced with version 4.1 (which we have already implemented)
Here is a quote from their communication:
“This latest release builds upon the refined user experience of Moodle LMS 4.1 with new and improved features that create efficiencies for educators, trainers and systems administrators. This update brings enhancements to course creation, reporting, activities and messaging, making it quicker and easier to create engaging learning experiences, measure learner progress and improve learner outcomes. “
Some main improvements included:
- Bulk editing in courses
- Gradebook improvements
- Enhanced Course page design and features
- Insights from improved Report builder
- Group visibility changes to support data privacy
- Export Moodle content to MoodleNet
- Other minor improvements
Information: We will be updating your Moodle instance in the coming two weeks. The reason we do not proceed immediately with all latest updates is because every new version generally takes a bit of time to reveal bugs and get fixed. So for caution reasons, we wait till most of these things are ironed out.
